Welcome back and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! It's going to be an AMAZING year at Emerson!

This year our campus has begun the Measure E project which ultimately means that our buildings are being updated with air conditioning and technology. Emerson is fortunate to be able to stay on campus during the upgrades, unlike other sites that had to be bused to other locations.  More information about Measure E can be found on our district website, but I will provide updates and information throughout the year.  

Our school-wide theme this year is “Building Brighter Futures”.  As we are building and updating our campus we want you to know that we are also “Building Brighter Futures”  for our Eagles, as it will help them to grow academically,  feel confident, and be positive about their unique identities and their place in our school community!

Teachers in LBUSD will again begin with the “Smart Restart” curriculum for the first three weeks of school. Smart Restart establishes a tone of care and community in the classroom and helps students transition back to school with intentional opportunities for relationship and culture building.

Emerson’s faculty and staff are committed to creating a safe and supportive learning community where everyone feels a sense of belonging, and learning is engaging, challenging, and fun. By building positive relationships, setting high expectations, and meeting the needs of diverse learners, our students will thrive academically, socially, and emotionally at Emerson.
